Editing a Rule

To edit a rule:

  • Search for a rule on the Home page. Click a search result to navigate to its respective Rule page and click Edit.

  • For a given run or asset in Explore, navigate to the Rules sidebar menu. Click the edit icon for a rule item in the Rules list or in a Rule detail.

Configuring

The fields in the edit form are the same as those in the create form. Once you've made updates to the Rule, the Save change(s) button will become clickable. Click the Save changes button.

Enter any notes related to the changes you've made in the confirmation modal and click Publish. Any notes you've added will be published along with the changes you've made to the rule under a new version and will be viewable in the version history table.

[!NOTE] You can click the Syntax button above the expression editor to see a list of supported functions in a right-side panel. The expression editor will also surface a typeahead menu of supported functions and input channels.

Deleting

At the bottom of the Rule configuration page, there's a section for deleting a rule. Click the Delete button and you will see a confirmation modal. Once confirmed, the rule will be deleted.
