Email Notifications

Users will be notified by email when certain actions are performed on Annotations. In these cases the Assignee or Tagged User will get an email:

• A user assigns an Annotation to another user
• A user changes the Status of an Annotation assigned to another user
• A user is tagged in an Annotation comment

Note that when these actions are the result of Rules, the email is suppressed. Only notifications generated manual user actions are sent via email.

Email Summarization

To minimize email noise, these emails are not sent out immediately. Since these actions can be trigged in bulk or very quickly, these emails are debounced and a summary of the notifications are sent in an email.
