Getting Started
Overview of the Sift interface and its main features.
Home
The Sift home page is where users can search for their:
- Runs - discrete periods when data was captured from an Asset or Assets. Runs can have a description and tags.
- Assets - physical objects that contain channels. They can be, for example, a vehicle, hardware test bed, simulator, or CI system. Assets are globally unique by name. Assets can also send data to Sift at any time, regardless of whether or not a run exists.
- Annotations - user-created objects associated with a time range and a run, assets, or channels. An annotation is a point-in-time annotation when the start time equals the stop time. Users can add a description and tags to an annotation.
Each search has a variety of advanced filters to allow users to locate the Sift objects they need.
Filters can be saved and referenced later by using the “Saved Search” button.
Explore
The Explore page is the central hub for analyzing telemetry data in Sift. It features a customizable interface that combines various data visualization tools in a single, integrated view. This powerful layout allows users to simultaneously examine time series plots, video footage, and log data from their missions or tests. By bringing these different data types together, the Explore page enables users to gain comprehensive insights into vehicle performance and behavior, facilitating efficient analysis and troubleshooting across a wide range of scenarios.

Report
The Reports page in Sift provides a comprehensive view for analyzing rule violations and system performance during missions or tests. It offers a structured interface that combines rule definitions, telemetry data visualization, and annotation capabilities. This integrated approach allows users to quickly identify, investigate, and document potential issues or anomalies in their vehicle's operation. The Reports page streamlines the process of reviewing and validating system behavior against predefined criteria, enabling efficient post-mission analysis and facilitating collaboration among team members.

Manage
Manage has two sections: Users and API Keys. Users lists all users in your instance, allows you to invite users from outside your organization, and manage role-based access controls. API Keys enables you to create keys to interact with the Sift API.
