Overview
In Explore, you can replace a data source directly within an investigation without rebuilding it. This allows you to reuse existing Panels and settings while swapping in a new data source, including replacing between Runs and Assets.- Compatibility requirements: The replacement data source must contain compatible Channels with the original. If Channels are missing or incompatible, you’ll be notified during preview.
Instructions
To replace a data source:- In the Channels tab, locate the data source (Run or Asset) you want to replace.
- Right-click the data source, and then select Replace data source.
- In the Runs or Assets tab, choose the replacement data source (Run or Asset).
- Click Preview changes.
- Review any warnings for missing or incompatible Channels.
- Click Confirm replacement.
