Overview

Advanced export provides granular control over how telemetry data is structured when moving it beyond Sift. This guide walks you through the process of exporting a Run or specific Channels from a Run into formats such as CSV or Parquet. It covers how to customize Channel name formatting, file splitting, and data grouping to ensure your telemetry is optimized for downstream analysis in external tools.

Instructions

To export a Run or particular Channels from a Run using advanced export:
  1. On the Sift homepage, search for the Run you want to export (or the Run containing your desired Channels) in the Run name or description box.
  2. In the Runs table, click the specific Run.
  3. Click Export Data.
  4. In the Channels table, select the specific Channels you wish to export.
    • To export the entire Run, click Select all Channels.
  5. Click Next….
  6. In the File format section, select your preferred format.
  7. Optional: In the Channel name display section, select a naming convention.
  8. Optional: In the File splitting section, select a splitting option.
  9. Optional: In the Channel data grouping section, select a grouping option.
  10. Click Export….
