Timeseries (Beta)
Overview
The Timeseries (Beta) chart type in Explore 2 (Beta) displays telemetry as signal values over time on a line chart. It can render both raw and Calculated Channels, and is best suited for analyzing trends, transitions, and time-based comparisons across one or more signals.
Settings
The table below lists the settings available for the Timeseries chart type in Explore 2 (Beta). Each Timeseries chart has its own instance of these settings, allowing you to configure display options independently per chart. These settings control how telemetry is visualized in that specific chart, including time range, labels, line style, tooltip behavior, and more.
Setting | Description |

Panel type | This setting determines which settings are displayed. |
Panel name | This setting lets you name the chart panel. The name appears in the panel tab. |
Presets | This setting allows you to quickly apply predefined time ranges. |
UTC offset | This setting lets you control the timezone offset used when displaying time values. |
Start / End | These settings define the exact start and end timestamps for the displayed time range. |
Channel label | This setting controls whether to show the full name or short name for each Channel in the legend. |
Overflow truncation | This setting adjusts how long channel names are shortened when they are too long to fit. |
Show run name | This toggle adds or hides the Run name in the Channel label. |
Show asset name | This toggle adds or hides the Asset name in the Channel label. |
Show points | This setting toggles whether data points are shown as visible dots on the line. |
Line style | This setting lets you choose the line style for plotted Channels, such as solid or dashed. |
Line weight | This setting lets you choose the thickness of the lines for better visual distinction. |
Show tooltip | This setting controls whether tooltips are shown when hovering over data points. |
Tooltip location | This setting determines where the tooltip appears in the chart area. |
Decimal places | This setting controls how many decimal places are shown in tooltips. |
Tooltip background opacity | This setting sets the transparency level of the tooltip background. |
Split by Y-axis | This setting separates Channels with different Y-axis scales into individual axes. |
