Timeseries (Beta)

Overview

The Timeseries (Beta) chart type in Explore 2 (Beta) displays telemetry as signal values over time on a line chart. It can render both raw and Calculated Channels, and is best suited for analyzing trends, transitions, and time-based comparisons across one or more signals.

Settings

The table below lists the settings available for the Timeseries chart type in Explore 2 (Beta). Each Timeseries chart has its own instance of these settings, allowing you to configure display options independently per chart. These settings control how telemetry is visualized in that specific chart, including time range, labels, line style, tooltip behavior, and more.

Panel typeThis setting determines which settings are displayed.
Panel nameThis setting lets you name the chart panel. The name appears in the panel tab.
PresetsThis setting allows you to quickly apply predefined time ranges.
UTC offsetThis setting lets you control the timezone offset used when displaying time values.
Start / EndThese settings define the exact start and end timestamps for the displayed time range.
Channel labelThis setting controls whether to show the full name or short name for each Channel in the legend.
Overflow truncationThis setting adjusts how long channel names are shortened when they are too long to fit.
Show run nameThis toggle adds or hides the Run name in the Channel label.
Show asset nameThis toggle adds or hides the Asset name in the Channel label.
Show pointsThis setting toggles whether data points are shown as visible dots on the line.
Line styleThis setting lets you choose the line style for plotted Channels, such as solid or dashed.
Line weightThis setting lets you choose the thickness of the lines for better visual distinction.
Show tooltipThis setting controls whether tooltips are shown when hovering over data points.
Tooltip locationThis setting determines where the tooltip appears in the chart area.
Decimal placesThis setting controls how many decimal places are shown in tooltips.
Tooltip background opacityThis setting sets the transparency level of the tooltip background.
Split by Y-axisThis setting separates Channels with different Y-axis scales into individual axes.
