# Sign up

## Overview

To use Sift, you need an account in your organization's Sift instance. Your manager should provide access to either the Public Cloud or GovCloud environment.

## Instructions

1. Go to your Sift instance:
   * [app.siftstack.com](https://app.siftstack.com) for Public Cloud
   * [gov.siftstack.com](https://gov.siftstack.com) for GovCloud
2. On the **Sign In** page, click **Register**.
3. Fill out the registration form:
   * **Email**:  Use the email address associated with your organization.
   * **Password**
   * **Confirm password**
   * **First name**
   * **Last name**
4. Click **Register**.

     Check your email and click the verification link to activate your account. After verifying, return to the login page and sign in.
