# Test API endpoints in the docs

> Send real requests and view live responses using the interactive playground

## Overview

Each endpoint in the **REST (endpoints)** sidebar includes an interactive playground where you can send real requests, adjust parameters, and view live responses.

The playground sends real requests to your account. Always use a sandbox or test API key to avoid unintended changes to production data.

## Instructions

To test an endpoint:

1. In an endpoint page, click **Try it**.
2. In the endpoint URL, click the base URL dropdown to choose your environment (Production or Gov).
3. In the **Authorization** box, enter your API key.
4. Optional: Fill in parameters.
5. Click **Send**.
